Jean Muir Suede Jacket

Jean Muir created a gorgeous plum suede jacket, perforated with paisley designs, in a romantic Victorian style complete with leg o' mutton sleeves.

The collarless jacket has an intricate closure with the purple buttons following an S curve across the front of the jacket. There is a fitted waistline with a long peplum. The sleeves are quite full at the top with a generous pleat at the shoulder seam. They narrow at the wrist with a button and loop closure. Intricate and elegant, the jacket comes with a museum tag dating it to 1981. It is in excellent condition.
