Bergdorf Goodman Custom Pillbox Hat

Halston is credited with designing the pillbox hat which was popularized by Jacqueline Kennedy. Halston was the head of the Millinery Salon at Bergdorf Goodman, so it is probably safe to say that this is his design.

Created for a socially prominent New Yorker who was on the International Best Dressed List it is in pristine condition. The hat has a custom order number under the Bergdorf Goodman label. The square design of this green wool hat is unusual. It is reinforced by the stitching on the sides and top of the hat in a maze like pattern. Two green tipped hat pins as well as two interior combs are used to keep the hat in place. Provenance will be provided to the buyer.
