Geoffrey
Beene Satin Dress
This
wonderful snakeskin patterned dress has quite a
history, Vogue Magazine featured the dress in
a full page layout in 1971. I was lucky enough to
sell it to, and then purchase it back from, the
wardrobe department for the film American
Gangster.
The
round collarless neckline and long sleeves belie the
sexy fit and thigh high slit of this satin dress
from Geoffrey Beene. There is a concealed zipper at
the center of the dress and fabric covered buttons
on the left side. The long fringed scarf is attached
at this side. Vogue showed it wrapped around
the neck several times, creating a turtleneck
effect. The long sleeves have metal hooks and eyes
at the wrist for a snug fit, and the dress is fully
lined in cream colored silk.
Retailed by Amelia Gray in Beverly Hills this sexy
snakeskin patterned dress is in pristine condition,
and it is ready for your next starring role.
