George Halley Sari Inspired Gown

Aubegine silk chiffon is used for this stunning Indian Sari inspired gown designed by George Halley in the 1960's. The dress has a round neckline trimmed with tiny gold sequins and rose colored caviar beads.

The long sleeves are trimmed with the same beadwork and they have zippers at the wrists for a snug fit. The dress has a fitted waistline above a softly pleated silk chiffon overskirt. There is a chiffon and silk underskirt as well. The Sari wrap is made from a matching aubergine silk chiffon woven with rose pink and metallic gold lotus flowers. It is attached at the right shoulder. The drape at the left front is weighted and the fabric wraps and hooks over the center back zipper. This stunning dress is fully lined and in excellent condition.
